![]() ![]() As mentioned in this thread, more people allow you to see different perspectives of where the agent might be.but I would take playing the whole game over arguing about who goes where and that they need to do x for the team. You can play around with combos that you set up. The opportunity to play all the hunters gives you much more of a game experience. Someone will quarterback or it will just be group think that this is your sole purpose. This is my opinion, but it felt like each hunter has a very specific role to play.and when you are with a group, you are expected to play that role and nothing else. I can't stand this game with more than 2! I think you should play the game as if it was with max players (I.E. Win or lose, both sides think the game was handled poorly for them and that they were always one step behind the opponent(s). I think Specter OP's has the problem a bit worse because hunters have zero info until the agent is spotted, but both games have the same effect on my play group. Until that one "Ah ha!" Moment that precedes a capture, the game feels like you are completely screwed and have no idea, even when the target is actually trapped and screwed.ĭepending upon your tastes in games, that constant feeling that you are about to lose could be the greatest selling point of a competitive game, or the hardest piece to deal with. The hunters have the reverse problem, they constantly feel like they are floundering in the dark with no clue where the target is. It results in this really intense feeling of being penned in and hunted down. The hidden player is always one move from detection or capture and has to hope they planned things out just right. The closer the game, the more it feels like both sides are struggling. Every game have ever played of both games has resulted in both sides believing they are totally screwed and about to die the entire game. Specter OP's and Letters from Whitechapel both suffer from an awkward problem stemming from the hidden information. How do I make it so the second game is a better experience for her? I don't want another Tash-Kalar: Arena of Legends which is a game I absolutely loved but we haven't played since the day I got it because she despises it. When we pick up and play a second game we're going to switch roles, I'll be playing hunter and she'll play Agent. She did mismanage the second character, making it fairly easy for my to dance around 1 char, and completely ignored the sensors.įinally. She didn't really do poorly, she was within 1 column of my at the exit and I was 1 hit from dead, so in the end it was really close. Now, she's willing to try it a second time because "I think it's a cool game, but I hated how poorly I did." This is the second game she's openly ended the game by saying she hates it. I loved it, being the agent was fantastic fun, but she got super frustrated. Yesterday we decided to finally try Specter Ops. The original games I bought are huge hits with my SO. So, I bought Specter Ops last week to hit free shipping on CSI after taking advantage of Pandemic Legacy and Dead of Winter sales. r/tabletopgamedesign - Designer's subreddit.r/boardgameexchange - selling/buying/trading games.Game of the Week Calendar Related Sites & Subreddits The simplest use is to bold game names in your comment and add " /u/r2d8 getinfo" at the end of the post, but this post/sub has other features identified.
